最后的贵族

　　乾隆年间国泰民安，百姓安居乐业欣欣向荣过的是好不快活。
　　皇上在御前侍卫高迪的陪同下前往江南体恤民情。在皇上出宫后一长阴谋正在展开，一位野心勃勃的王爷竟然暗地与当地黑帮勾结一路追杀皇帝。
　　在前往惠州城的路上遇上了从京城逃婚离家的野蛮格格贾仁。经过一场“恶斗”后三人决定一同上路，在惠州城的集市遇到了在集市中摆擂台的“洋鬼子”元宵。元宵在比试中输给了贾仁格格执意要让贾仁格格收他为徒。三人想尽办法却无法摆脱元宵，无奈只能收下元宵为徒。半夜在惠州城的某客栈，突然出现蒙面黑衣人刺杀皇帝，还好刺客技艺不精，皇帝没有受到半点伤害。高迪决定四人连夜赶往他的老家避难。
　　在高迪家中，皇上遇到高迪的表妹惠乔，皇上对惠乔一见倾心，贾仁格格也慢慢的爱上了那个英俊风流的侍卫高迪。贾仁格格与元宵在回家的路上遇到一对奇丑无比的恋人。两人因为相貌丑陋所以年过四十还没成家。善良的贾仁格格便与众人一起帮助这对苦命鸳鸯筹办婚礼，终于让这对苦命恋人有情人终成眷属。皇上与惠乔，高迪与贾仁在这段日子感情也逐渐升温。岂料此时皇上与惠乔被蜻蜓帮绑架，高迪与贾仁心急如焚，托朋友四处打听皇上与惠乔的下落。
　　绑架皇上的正是蜻蜓帮的帮主夫人瑶，此女人也曾经是皇上的爱人，当年为了皇帝背叛帮会。由爱生恨，此女对皇上当年弃之不顾的事耿耿与怀。但是在与皇帝相处的这段日子里旧情复燃并偷偷的通知高迪皇帝被囚禁之处。
　　在与众人的帮助下高迪终于找到了皇帝的所在，但在这个时候元宵露出了狐狸尾巴，众人没有想到元宵竟然是蜻蜓帮的人，在这个关键时候元宵倒戈相向。所幸的是元宵的背叛并没有个给大家带来什么麻烦，最后还是将皇帝从蜻蜓帮的魔爪之中救出。通过这次危难四人的感情更是牢固，最后成就了这一段错体姻缘。

Abel去调查当地一间‘高档’学校里一个男孩的死亡事件, 他尸体在河上被发现。学校高层恐惧会引起丑闻，坚持这只是一宗普通的自杀案。但Abel从男孩的女友处得知,他常常被人家欺负, Abel 怀疑一个危险的学生入会仪式搞砸了，于是他秘密地请求一位有同情心的老师Betsy来帮忙。可Abel的上司警告他别再调查下去, 因为学校赞助警察慈善资金不少款项。Abel, 不能就此罢手, 不仅因为几年前他的兄弟自杀了, 而且男孩的鬼魂好像给他们留下了线索，解释当晚到底发生了什么事情。

《Qwerty》是一部关于孤独的人的概念及其古怪事迹的电影。我用“人的概念”一词来说明导演比尔·塞巴斯蒂安和编剧朱丽叶·麦克丹尼尔试图构建的那种类型的电影。佐伊（达娜·普普金饰）和马蒂（埃里克·海利饰）的定义很宽泛，为观众提供了两个主角，除了他们独立灵感的怪癖之外，他们并没有太多深度。就像最近广受好评的《安全没有保障》一样，《Qwerty》的角色和结构未能引起共鸣，只不过是一部半生不熟的圣丹斯电影节图片的大杂烩。

　　A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee. The actual movie doesn't live up to those high expectations, but it's far from being all bad. Desi Arnaz Jr. (!) plays an author who makes a crazy $20,000 bet with his publisher that he could write a great novel in only 24 hours. To do so, the publisher gives him the keys to an old abandoned house where he won't be disturbed. Not true. Once he gets there he is interrupted by a multitude of guests including a family which consists of John Carradine, Sheila Keith, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. They are gathered there in a twisted family reunion to release their brother from the room he's been imprisoned in for forty years. Even Christopher Lee drops by as Corrigan, the man who has just purchased the house. Soon, they realize that the caged brother is loose and out for revenge.
　　What a great plotline and what a dream cast! This movie should have been a hell of a lot better. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problems with the film, but I would venture to say that the lack of lighting was a major fault. Sure the house has no electricity but I think they took the title of the movie a little too literally. Scenes after scenes are barely visible and the actors' faces are undecipherable. Only the moments in the main dinning hall are well lit. Also, the great actors are given very little to do. Cushing gets a few chuckles as the scared brother but Price, Lee and especially Carradine are somewhat wasted here. Well, at least Price gets the best line of the film: `Please don't interrupt me while I am soliloquizing.' And on the plus side, the story has enough twists and turns throughout to keep one`s interest and the ending, while a bit of a cop-out, manages to surprise.
